Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Twentynine Palms Residents Directory. Accessing or using the reference means you accept these conditions. If you do not agree, please stop using the pages and linked search surfaces.

1. What This Reference Provides

Twentynine Palms Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections relating to Twentynine Palms and California. It describes sources maintained by San Bernardino County ARC, the city, courts, state departments, libraries, archives, and other custodians. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with those offices.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the pages and anything reached through them only for a lawful purpose. You may not use the reference to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the content at scale.
  • Disrupt the operation, security, or availability of the pages.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

Twentynine Palms Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Information on these pages, and information returned by a linked tool, is not a consumer report. It may not be used to evaluate eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by that law.

4. Linked Services

County portals, court services, library collections, archives, sponsored search tools, and other outside services set their own terms. The operators do not control those services' content, uptime, fees, privacy practices, or search results. Visiting an outside service is your decision and is governed by that service's rules.

5. No Warranty

The reference is supplied on an as-is and as-available basis. No warranty is made that a description, fee, link, coverage date, portal, or result is accurate, complete, current, or available. The custodian office is the proper place to verify a public record.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource. This includes a decision made from a record found through the pages.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Permission

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is welcome. Full-page republication and systematic copying are not permitted.

9. Revisions

The operators may revise these terms by posting an updated version. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the new version.

10. Access Restrictions

The operators may block or restrict a user who violates these terms, abuses the reference, or threatens its security. That action may occur without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code Division 10, sections 7920.000 through 7931.000. The California Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, and the Delete Act, Civil Code section 1798.99.80 and following, may apply to private data held by a service, but they do not give this reference control over records maintained by Twentynine Palms, San Bernardino County, courts, or other custodians.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
